Pratt & Whitney Insurance Coverage
International Shipments:
The following applies when Pratt & Whiney
has a risk of loss on shipments to all foreign locations (other than between
the US and Canada):
- Pratt
& Whitney has automatic transit insurance for all these type shipments
if the value per conveyance of company property is less than $20 million.
- Suppliers
must advise Pratt & Whitney Risk Management (Terry McCarthy 860-565-6813
or 3853) of shipments in excess of $20 million and must allow the
underwriter the opportunity to survey the shipment.
- This
Open Cargo policy has no deductible.
Domestic Shipments:
The following applies when Pratt & Whiney
assumes the risk of loss on all domestic shipments and shipments between the US
and Canada:
- Shipments
are insured under Pratt & Whitney's property program with a $500,000
deductible
Note: Additional insurance from transportation providers is not required or
recommended.

These
