For all PW-responsible damaged freight, Ryder Logistics will process a claim with the carrier on behalf of PW. It is the responsibility of the PW requestor to provide Ryder with all the proper documentation for the claim to be filed.

Below is the process agreed upon between Ryder and PW for a claim to be filed. It will normally take about 6 weeks for a carrier to acknowledge a claim. At the 6-8 week point, Ryder will begin to follow up on the process. Please contact PW Logistics department with any additional questions.

*** Please remember to notify a Pratt & Whitney Global Logistics representative with any claim that needs to happen for freight damage within this category ***

The roll out of First Notice of Loss (FNOL) system will be utilized for freight loss/damage for freight valued greater than $500,000. The usage of this new AIG global reporting system, customized to Pratt & Whitney, will give P&W Global Logistics prompt claim service and response with an AIG reference number assigned to the new reported claim.   The procedures on how to use this new claim reporting system should replace the old reporting procedures.    
  
AIG Global Marine developed and customized a user friendly electronic First Notice of Loss (FNOL) reporting system for Pratt & Whitney.  Any loss can be reported at any hour and day of the week (24/7) to one of the AIG Claims Service Offices located in 130 Countries for prompt response and service.
 
The secure password protection electronic First Notice of Loss reporting system allows:
 
- You the ability to file claim notices and receive electronic confirmation of receipt
- Contact response within 24 hours from the AIG claims service office.
- The ability to attach claim documents for documented claim submissions.
